SCOTT MAYER
Scott is President and founder of South Texas Sliders baseball. He is a graduate of Churchill High School and holds a Government degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he played football earning 1 letter in 1993, and a Master's in Educational Administration from Texas A&M-Kingsville. After coaching at Churchill HS for 4 years he got into the private sector of baseball with private instruction and select teams culminating in forming the Sliders in 2003. Scott has coached 3 different 17U teams to National Championship games: 2002 AAU, 2004 PG World Wood Bat, and 2005 Premier Baseball. He is also fortunate to have coached one 1st Round Draft pick and over 90 players that have gone on to play college or professional baseball. Scott is an associate scout with the Colorado Rockies and sits on the board of Premier Baseball. He is married to Melissa and they have 3 daughters: Macey, Kiera, and Kylie.
LUKE PANTUSO
Coach Luke Pantuso is a 1998 graduate of San Antonio Madison High School, and a 2002 graduate of St. Mary’s University. Coach Pantuso played baseball for Madison, and continued his career at St. Mary’s. While at St. Mary’s, Coach Pantuso was a member of the 2001 NCAA Division II National Championship team. Coach Pantuso spent 5 year s coaching at San Antonio Clark High School, serving as head baseball coach for the last two. Coach Pantuso has been coaching with the Sliders since 2004. He and his wife Jenni have two boys, Chad and Cade.
DAVID ADAMS
David is a graduate 1996 of Madison High School. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Science Degree from UTSA in the Summer of 2002. He worked as the Youth Sports Program Director of the Mays Family YMCA from its inception in Spring of 2001 until he left for a teaching position in January of 2006. David is now the PE teacher at a Northside Elementary School where he earned district honors last year as the district's first year educator of the year. David has coached since he has graduated from high school at all levels of the game and has been a Slider coach since the Fall of 2005.
BOBBY ALFORD
Bobby is a 1997 graduate of Madison HS where he played football and baseball with honors. He then went to Vernon JC on a baseball scholarship and parlayed that into playing at UTSA. He has coached high school football and baseball for 6 years, 4 at Kerrville Tivy HS and now a coach at Madison HS. Bobby is married to the Marcie and they have two sons, Holden and Griffin. Bobby has been coaching with the Sliders since our inception (2003).
MIKE ANDREWS
Mike was an All-District and All-City shortstop at Macarthur High School and in 1999-2000. He played one season of third base for McMurry University in Abilene before transferring to Angelina College where he played second base. After injury shortened his career prior to his junior season, Mike became a student assistant under Jeff Livin at Angelina, working with infielders, hitters and assisting in recruiting. In 2004, he served as an assistant at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, working with infielders and outfielders. After graduating from TAMUCC in 2005, Mike spent 3 years working in Minor League Baseball for the Corpus Christi Hooks and Greenville Drive. Mike and his wife Jen are proud parents of their son, Graydon.

LANE BOWMAN
Lane is the Assistant Baseball Coach at Smithson Valley High School and is in his 2nd year of coaching with the Sliders program. Lane played for 2 years at Ranger JC under coach Don Flowers. He has served as an assistant in Falls City and at Smithson Valley. Lane is married to Monica and they have 3 children.
BILLY CENTENO
Billy is a graduate of Churchill HS where he played football, wrestled, and earned All-City Honors in baseball. After graduation he earned a scholarship to Ranger JC where he was selected to the annual JuCo All-Star game. Billy was then offered a scholarship to Texas A&M-Kingsville and played for Russell Stockton. Billy is finishing up his degree in Education and has been coaching with the Sliders since our inception.
MICHAEL DAVILA
Mike Davila is a graduate of Carroll High School and Texas A&M Kingsville. Mike is currently the Head Baseball Coach at Tuloso-Midway and has been with the Sliders since its inception in the summer of 2004. Mike is married to Cindy and they have 2 daughters, Jada and Jenna

CORY JACOBI
Cory is a 2002 graduate of King High School (Corpus Christi) where he was an all-state catcher. He received a baseball scholarship to St. Mary’s University where he received his B.B.A. in Accounting and Corporate Financial Management in 2007. Cory played select ball for one year for Scott Mayer. This is his 3rd year coaching select baseball and first with the Sliders.
CHAD KOEHL
Chad is the Head Baseball Coach at Smithson Valley High School and has been with the Sliders since the summer of '06. He has served stints as an assistant at Flatonia and Smithson Valley. Chad is married to Michelle and they have a daughter, Alissa, and a son, Austin.
KEN MCMULLEN
Coach McMullen (Mac) is a 1989 graduate of Westlake High School (Austin) where he was an All-District 1B, and team captain. He then played at Brookhaven JC (Dallas) where he was an All-Conference CF, P, and earned school records for the most runs scored and doubles for a single season. Coach Mac then signed with Texas State University (San Marcos) where he was a 2-year starter in the OF, and a relief Pitcher. He earned the "Cream of the Crop" award twice for excellence in athletics and academics for the baseball team. He has been teaching Mathematics in the North East ISD (San Antonio) for the past 14 years, at Roosevelt HS, Reagan HS, and currently at Johnson HS. Coach Mac has a Bachelor's Degree (1994) and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration (2004) from Texas State University. He has served as a summer baseball coach for the University of Texas baseball camps; and, coached an International Junior Olympic basketball team in Switzerland. Coach Mac is married to Wendy and they have a daughter, McKenzie, and a son, Kenneth.
JOE MOCZYGEMBA
Joe Moczygemba is a graduate of Edison High School, and a graduate of Texas Luthern University with a Masters in Education Administration from Texas A&M university in Kingsville. Joe played baseball at Hill Junior College before transferring to Texas Luthern to continue his college carreer. He has coached with the Sliders for 2 years and has had two sons come through this program. Joe has been a Head Baseball Coach for 6 years before becoming the Defensive Coordinator at Smithson Valley High School. He is marries to Lori and they have three children, Reagan (baseball at St. Mary's), Derek (baseball at Blinn), and Carly (Volleyball, Track at Smithson Valley HS).

CHRIS MUNOZ
Chris is a graduate of Rosenberg Terry HS where he was an outfielder and All-District pitcher. From there he went on a scholarship to the University of Texas at Browsville before an arm injury derailed his career. Chris has been coaching with the Sliders since 2008. He also gives pitching and outfield lessons in the greater Houston area and resides in Richmond.
JEFF QUILLIN
Jeff is a graduate of Calallen HS where he was an All-State and All-State Tournament performer as he made two appearances in the State Tournament while at Calallen. Jeff played 1 year at Paris JC before injury saddled his playing days. He then became a student assistant at Paris working with hitters and catchers. Jeff played select ball for Scott Mayer for 2 seasons. Jeff has been coaching with the Sliders since the spring of '06. Jeff is married to Erin and is finishing up his degree at Texas A&M-Kingsville.

KEHR SCHULZ
ehr is a 2002 graduate of Calallen High School where he was a 1st Team All-State pitcher. Made two State Tournament appearances, winning a State Championship in 2000. Went on to play at North Central Texas Junior College then transferred to St. Mary's University where he graduated with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science. Repeated shoulder injuries caused him to stop pitching after his Junior season. Kehr played select ball for Scott Mayer for one season. Kehr has been coaching with the Sliders since the summer of '06 and is currently an assistant at Gregory-Portland HS.
LEE YEAGER
Lee is the Head Baseball Coach at Corpus Christi Carroll High School. Lee has been coaching with the Sliders since its inception (2003). Lee also served a stint as an assistant at Stephen F. Austin University. He is married to Katie and they have two daughters.
