SCOTT MAYER
Scott is President and founder of South Texas Sliders baseball. He is a graduate of Churchill High School and holds a Government degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he played football earning 1 letter in 1993, and a Masters in Educational Administration from Texas A&M-Kingsville. After coaching at Churchill HS for 4 years he got into the private sector of baseball with private instruction and select teams culminating in forming the Sliders in 2003. Scott has coached 3 different 17U teams to National Championship games: 2002 AAU, 2004 PG World Wood Bat, and 2005 Premier Baseball. He is also fortunate to have coached one 1st Round Draft pick and over 100 players that have gone on to play college or professional baseball. Scott is an associate scout with the Colorado Rockies and sits on the board of Premier Baseball. He is married to Melissa and they have 3 daughters: Macey, Kiera, and Kylie.
LUKE PANTUSO
Luke is a 1998 graduate of San Antonio Madison High School, and a 2002 graduate of St. Mary’s University. Coach Pantuso played baseball for Madison, and continued his career at St. Mary’s. While at St. Mary’s, Coach Pantuso was a member of the 2001 NCAA Division II National Championship team. Coach Pantuso spent 5 years coaching at San Antonio Clark High School, serving as head baseball coach for the last two. Coach Pantuso has been coaching with the Sliders since 2004. He and his wife Jenni have two boys, Chad and Cade.
DAVID ADAMS
David is a graduate 1996 of Madison High School. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Science Degree from UTSA in the Summer of 2002. He worked as the Youth Sports Program Director of the Mays Family YMCA from its inception in Spring of 2001 until he left for a teaching position in January of 2006. David is now the PE teacher at a Northside Elementary School where he earned district honors in 2006 as the district's first year educator of the year. David has coached since he has graduated from high school at all levels of the game and has been a Slider coach since the Fall of 2005. David was the head coach of our 2010 Incoming Freshman National Champions!
BOBBY ALFORD
Bobby is a 1997 graduate of Madison HS where he played football and baseball with honors. He then went to Vernon JC on a baseball scholarship and parlayed that into playing at UTSA. He has coached high school football and baseball since 2002, 4 at Kerrville Tivy HS and now a coach at Madison HS. Bobby is married to Marcie and they have two sons, Holden and Griffin. Bobby has been coaching with the Sliders since our inception (2003).
MIKE ANDREWS (Program Chaplain)
Mike was an All-District and All-City shortstop at Macarthur High School and in 1999-2000. He played one season of third base for McMurry University in Abilene before transferring to Angelina College where he played second base. After injury shortened his career prior to his junior season, Mike became a student assistant under Jeff Livin at Angelina, working with infielders, hitters and assisting in recruiting. In 2004, he served as an assistant at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, working with infielders and outfielders. After graduating from TAMUCC in 2005, Mike spent 3 years working in Minor League Baseball for the Corpus Christi Hooks and Greenville Drive. Mike and his wife Jen are proud parents of their son, Graydon.
FELIPE BARRERA
Felipe is an Asst. Varsity Baseball Coach at Sharyland High School in Mission, Texas and has been a Head Coach in Eagle Pass, Texas (2000-2002) and Hidalgo, Texas (2007-2010). He has been with the Sliders since the summer of 2010. Felipe is married to Sylvia and has two sons Tres and Santana.
BILLY CENTENO
Billy is a graduate of Churchill HS where he played football, wrestled, and earned All-City Honors in baseball. After graduation he earned a scholarship to Ranger JC where he was selected to the annual JuCo All-Star game. Billy was then offered a scholarship to Texas A&M-Kingsville and played for Russell Stockton. Billy currently gives private instruction at D-Bat and is married with a daughter.
MICHAEL DAVILA
Mike Davila is a graduate of Carroll High School and Texas A&M Kingsville. Mike is currently the Head Baseball Coach at Tuloso-Midway and has been with the Sliders since the summer of 2004. Mike is married to Cindy and they have 2 daughters, Jada and Jenna
CHAD KOEHL
Chad is the Head Baseball Coach at Smithson Valley High School and has been with the Sliders since the summer of '06. He has served stints as an assistant at Flatonia and Smithson Valley. Chad is married to Michelle and they have a daughter, Alissa, and a son, Austin.
JARROD HINTON
Jarrod graduated from Kerrville Tivy HS in 2004. He earned first team all-district honors three consecutive years and was selected to the All-State team as an outfielder his senior year. A graduate of Baylor University (BS) and West Texas A&M University (MS), he currently serves as an assistant baseball coach at Hays HS in Buda. He is married to Michelle, his wife since 2010, who is currently in Nursing school in Sugarland. They consider all the players on his teams to be their kids as they currently do not have any of their own.
SCOTT LARSEN
Scott is a 1995 graduate of Millard South High School in Omaha, Nebraska where he was first team All-State and USA Today Honorable Mention All American. In 1996 he was a member of Oklahoma Baptist University that qualified for the NAIA World Series. Scott then transferred to the University of Nebraska where he was a member of two Big 12 Tournament Championships as a player and coach. Scott earned a Masters degree in Education while serving as a GA at University of St. Mary in Kansas. He currently coaches at Canyon High School in New Braunfels and has spent the last fifteen years coaching baseball from the youth select level to the D1 level.
ALLAN LYNCH
Allan graduated from John Marshall HS in 1989 where he was an All-District player the 1988 and 1989 seasons. He then went on to play at Blinn JC from 1990-1992. He then moved on to Sam Houston State earning a Bachelors degree in 1994. Allan has coached at Three Rivers for 2 years, Corpus Christi Moody for 5 years, and has been the head baseball coach at Roosevelt High School since 2002. Allan is married to his gorgeous wife Glenda, and have have a beautiful daughter, Madison.
PAT LONGSTREET
Pat has been with the Sliders organization since 2011. He has coached at the high school level for 9 years. Coaching stops include Bastrop HS, Fort Bend Clements and his current post at Rosenberg Terry High School.
REAGAN MOCZYGEMBA (currently on hiatus)
Reagan is a 2006 graduate of Smithson Valley High School, and a 2011 graduate of St. Mary's University. Coach Mooch was a two time all district, all-city and all-state selection as a middle infielder during his high school career and held the single season hit record for 3 years. After high school, Reagan attended Navarro College where he redshirted before enrolling at St. Mary's and becoming a four year starter. Reagan helped the Rattlers to back to back regional appearances his junior and senior season where they spent alot of time ranked in the top ten naitonally. Was also a 4 time all-conference player as an outfielder once and an infielder three times and one time all-region player. Reagan holds the all time hits record at St. Mary's at 282 hits, beating the old record of 281 in his last game. Reagan has coached one fall season and two summers with the Sliders 2012 being his 3rd summer.
KEN MCMULLEN
Coach McMullen (Mac) is a 1989 graduate of Westlake High School (Austin) where he was an All-District 1B, and team captain. He then played at Brookhaven JC (Dallas) where he was an All-Conference CF, P, and earned school records for the most runs scored and doubles for a single season. Coach Mac then signed with Texas State University (San Marcos) where he was a 2-year starter in the OF, and a relief pitcher. He earned the \"Cream of the Crop\" award twice for excellence in athletics and academics for the baseball team. He is currently a Vice-Principal at New Braunfels HS. Coach Mac has a Bachelor's Degree (1994) and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration (2004) from Texas State University. He has served as a summer baseball coach for the University of Texas baseball camps; and coached an International Junior Olympic basketball team in Switzerland. Coach Mac is married to Wendy and they have a daughter, McKenzie, and a son, Kenneth.
CHAD PAYNE
Chad has been with the Sliders organization since 2011. Chad has coached high school baseball for 22 years in New Mexico and Texas. He has been the head coach at 3 different stops: Clovis HS (New Mexico), Houston Memorial, and currently at Katy Seven Lakes. He is married and has a daughter and a son that currently plays for the Sliders.
MATT PIERCE
Coach Matt Pierce is a 2001 graduate of Willis High School. In 2001 Coach Pierce was named first team all district outfielder and newcomer of the year to the district. After high school, Matt stopped playing baseball to assist his family when his mother passed away from breast cancer. After being out of the game for 4 years, Coach Pierce decided to come back to baseball as a summer and fall coach for Fort Bend Kempner High School, and began working with other high school players as a coach and private instructor. Coach Pierce was Coach for the 13U and 14U premier South Texas Sliders Team in Ft Bend where his 2011 14U incoming freshman team won the Premier National Championships in Joplin, Missouri. He is currectly the varsity assistant and hitting coach at Kinkaid High School. He is happily married to his best friend Ashley, who is currently a 5th Grade Teacher in Fort Bend ISD. Matt and Ashley had their first child Lane Matthew Pierce on 11/1/11! The Kinkaid baseball program holds an annual fundraiser baseball tournament in honor of Lynda K. Pierce and donates the proceeds to breast cancer research. Coach Pierce enjoys being outdoors hunting, fishing, and certainly being on the field! Matt has been with the Sliders program since the fall of 2010.
JEFF QUILLIN
Jeff is a graduate of Calallen HS where he was an All-State and All-State Tournament performer as he made two appearances in the State Tournament while at Calallen. Jeff played 1 year at Paris JC before injury saddled his playing days. He then became a student assistant at Paris working with hitters and catchers. Jeff played select ball for Scott Mayer for 2 seasons. Jeff has been coaching with the Sliders since the spring of '06. Jeff is married to Erin and is a graduate of Texas A&M-Kingsville.
KEHR SCHULZ (taking the summer of 2013 off)
Kehr is a 2002 graduate of Calallen High School where he was a 1st Team All-State pitcher. Made two State Tournament appearances, winning a State Championship in 2000. Went on to play at North Central Texas Junior College then transferred to St. Mary\'s University where he graduated with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science. Repeated shoulder injuries caused him to stop pitching after his Junior season. Kehr played select ball for Scott Mayer for one season. Kehr has been coaching with the Sliders since the summer of '06 and is currently an assistant at Gregory-Portland HS.
CJ SOTO
CJ is a graduate of Robinson HS where he was a 1st Team All-District and 1st Team Waco Herald Tribune Super Centex player. CJ then accepted a baseball scholarship to Hill Junior College. After Hill JC he attended Texas State University where he holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science degree. After coaching high school baseball for 10 years at a private school in Waco, he moved to New Braunfels and formed the NB Shock select baseball team in 2005. That team won the 13U Super Series Winter Nationals in 2010 and the 14U Super Series World Series in 2012 at Dell Diamond. He is married to Lori and they have 3 sons, Ryan, Austin, and Jake.

LEE YEAGER
Lee is the Head Baseball Coach at Corpus Christi Carroll High School. Lee has been coaching with the Sliders since its inception. Lee also served a stint as an assistant at Stephen F. Austin University. He is married to Katie and they have two daughters.
