Mission Statement

 

The mission of the South Texas Sliders Baseball program is to be successful at accomplishing the following goals:

 

1. Administer the program in an organized, efficient manner that takes into account all age group participants and parents. Continue to improve what is provided those that are members of our program!

 

2. Provide a coaching staff that adheres to the following:

  • Helps to improve abilities of the players
  • Conduct themselves in a manner that is respected by players, parents, and opposing programs
  • An understanding that select baseball needs to be FUN!

 

3. Conduct a year-round program that provides the high standards of the program to all age levels.

 

4. 12U-16U standards:

  • Improve individual skills
  • Work on understanding the "Team" aspect of baseball
  • Play against competition levels that raise the level of your game
  • Build positive relationships with Sliders staff, teammates, and parents

 

5. 18U & 17U standards:

  • Provide a forum in which players can gain exposure to collegiate and professional scouts and promote our players' abilities to play at those levels. This is accomplished 2 ways: a) attend events that attract the best players on a state and national level; and b) work in conjunction with players and parents throughout the recruiting process.
  • Play against competition levels that raise the level of your game
  • Build positive relationships with Sliders staff, teammates, and parents
